Our Products

Tom Farms was started in Northern Indiana raising corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa and livestock. Today we produce seed corn for Monsanto, corn for feed, food products and ethanol all products consumed locally, regionally, nationally and across the world.

Globally our operations are involved in seed corn and soybeans.  Our seed corn production in Argentina allows for the delivery of the latest in genetics and traits to be delivered to producers across the globe.  These new genetics and traits deliver value in the improvement of diets, and as well support the delivery of seed products that require fewer pesticides and show an improvement in yields. This operating model of over 19,000 acres allows us to leverage our internal resources again to support the global consumers need for food, fuel and fiber.

Commercial Corn

Our commercial corn is produced and consumed and used in thousands of consumer products, livestock feed, ethanol and fiber products.  Yields have grown from an average of 72 bushel per acre in 1972 to now over 200 bushel per acre in 2009 helping meet the global demand for our products.

Soybeans

Our soybean production will find its way into thousands of consumers products after it finds its way to LouisDreyfus. The soybean grain consists of oils and protein of which will find their way into consumer healthy diets either directly or through livestock rations.  A new and growing use is derived from the oil which is for use in Biodiesel which has been proven to benefit the environment, and operating efficiencies.

Seed Corn

Tom Farms receives the parent seeds from Monsanto then cross breeds different and unique genetic parents sourced from locations across the globe producing hybrid seed corn that is processed and sold to producers across the world.
